As deputy editor of i the stylist, I was invited to attend the Pure Package Wellness Awards last night which was hosted at BAFTA.
Pure package is an award-winning diet food delivery service which focuses on healthy eating using ethically sourced ingredients. They established The Wellness Awards in 2016, along with a team of leading experts to give recognition and credit to those developing and advancing wellness in the UK.
It’s a fantastic opportunity to build connections and meet people behind some of the biggest health brands. In the midst of those faces, were Piers Morgan, Love Island’s Gabby and Marcel, Towie’s Lydia and Gok Wan who was the DJ.
As an introvert and naturally shy person, I found the task of putting myself out there quite daunting. You can read about this in Feeling Shy Meeting New People.
The first half of the night I spent sipping champagne. By the time the award ceremony itself was over, me and my sister were chatting away and had a wonderful evening. Plus I have a set of contact cards sat in my evening bag.
Whilst I couldn’t recognise the bloggers wavering through the crowds, the best blog award went to The Food Medic by Dr. Hazel Wallace, and the best newcomer was Pixie Turner whose book ‘The Wellness Rebel’ is being published this spring.
Watching so many women win awards for their success in business was incredibly inspiring. Other note-worthy winners include Debbie Moore (creator of Pineapple Dance Studio) for best wellness champion, The Good Life Eatery for best wellness eatery and The Four Pillar Plan for best wellness book.
After a night of canapes, socialising and of course photo-snapping, I left the Pure Package Wellness Awards with goody bag filled with products. The Boo Chi turmeric drink and Clean Kinn Beauty cleanser I’m most curious about. I will do a review on my favourites.
Have you heard of any of the winners mentioned or have you tried their products?
