Hi Crystelle, it took me along time to get anyone to view my posts, let alone comment or like. I repeatedly tried to find other bloggers whose blogs that I liked and wrote them comments.
You can go on reader and click tags – write down tags like ‘lifestyle’, ‘poetry’, ‘health’ etc and see all the posts that people have tagged the same. That can help you in trying to find bloggers to connect with.
Additionally, as mentioned in the article, I would try to build up a following on sites such as Facebook and Instagram. This entails again having to go out and look for people to connect with.
Finally, I would make sure that your blog is attracting people. Things like tagging (around 15 tags per post), using strong images and putting your own personality on your site – whether that is you being honest, using humour, talking about yourself. Those things have helped me.
I hope that helps but keep going because it will pick up! And just put your name out there as much as possible.

It took me about two months before I started to receive a good amount of likes, comments and views.
My biggest advice is just to continually put yourself out there. I sometimes type in tags like #beauty, #lifestyle, #health etc (click on reader) and then comment on posts that interest me. The main thing is just following and comments on others with similar blogs and if you can, use social-media to get your posts out there.

Thank you! I’m happy that it was helpful. I advise using social-media, but also just contacting other bloggers. My one regret was spending too much time on writing posts and not enough time on commenting.
I would be happy to check out your page. x

Thanks for the input 🙂 I do get a lot of traffic back and forth from Instagram, which is great. I don’t really want a facebook page but i made one for my blog just to have it. I don’t have a twitter and don’t ever want one! lol okay maybe one day. Anyways, thanks for the tips!

Great informative post, you have given me some ideas and things to think about! It seems to be a question on every bloggers lips, how do you grow your blog and how do you drive traffic towards it so I have found this really useful. Thankyou xxxx

I would love to read your thoughts!
