Seven years ago, I was approached (traffic-stopped) by a woman on a counter who recommended I try some real-fur brushes. Unbeknown to me this was a thing, I felt the smooth texture on my skin and quickly purchased, naïvely believing I played no role in the suffering of animals. With the current quality of synthetic brushes today, there’s no reason to consider buying anything else. Niré Beauty brushes are a new favourite of mine, which I’m proud to showcase on The Style of Laura Jane.

Niré Beauty Artistry Set:
The easiest way to tell you how much I adore, is to simply say I’ve replaced all my old brushes – minus 3, with this artistry set. I decided it was a fresh start. The Artistry Set contains just about everything for a complete brush kit. In fact, there’s so much option, I haven’t properly experimented with each brush yet.
In the kit, you receive 12 full-sized brushes, a foundation blending sponge and a brush cleaning tool, as well the chicest brush holder which opens to two separate brush cups. This is perfect because I keep my brushes in one, and the sponges in the other. I have to take a second to talk about how much I love. The brush holder looks really fancy and is so easy to travel with. I was wrapping my brushes in freezer bags and all sorts to travel, and now I just take the holder which is sleek and light-weight.
Because of my makeup artist background – working freelance in the industry and across a broad range of luxury counters, I’ve tested a huge range of brushes. Quite often, I’m disappointed because the handles don’t feel sturdy or the brush hairs soon break a part and fall out. Other times, I’ve had brushes and I find they are just terrible with application. When I agreed to try Niré Beauty, I was a worried this issue would be the same. But I can honestly put my hand on my heart and say they are amazing.
Each brush just feels silky and nice on my skin. I find I don’t need to load much product to see effective results. The biggest relief of all, is my foundation. I apply with my hands and blend with brush – now a Kabuki foundation brush. My previous brush use to clog up with coverage, so I’m relieved it’s gone. Another thing I like is the handles. They are easy to grip and feel comfortable which is surprisingly very important. You want to feel your brushes are effortless to hold and you want to ensure they feel strong. Some brushes break easily.
PureFoam Silicone Brush Cleaning Tool
As an old-soul and old-school kinda girl, I classically wash my brushes with baby shampoo or soap. I was excited to try this brush cleaner because I HATE cleaning my brushes. I mean I do it because I know I should, but it’s a chore like ironing. This brush cleaning tool hasn’t made me love washing, but it’s effective and quickens up the whole process.
So the brush set doesn’t come with a lip brush – I don’t tend to use them so that’s not a problem for me. Ideally, the only brush I would add is a smaller concealer brush to use round my eyebrows. However, with the price and the quality you get, I can’t see reason to complain.
Overall thoughts and discount code
I’m so glad Niré Beauty approached me and have allowed to become a fan. I’m really impressed and The Artistry set has exceeded my expectations. I think it’s about the little details as well, and just to have the great brush holder, sponge and cleaning tool – it all kind of puts it together. Now, the brand does have smaller sets and the Artistry Set has two choices of colour – silver or rose gold. There’s also individual brushes and makeup tools and accessories. You make an awesome saving though by buying the set. Currently it’s on sale, and I have a voucher code you can use (non affiliated). Use LauraJane15 for 15% off your entire order from nirebeauty.com. The price for the Artistry Set is £85 (at the time of publishing, it’s on sale for £39.95). Seriously, get Christmas out the way and buy some of their brushes – it’s the easiest makeup product to shop for a beauty addict!
