Harley Street Skin Care is designed by DR. A Khan – one of the UK’s leading experts in cosmetic and non-surgical procedures and Lesley Reynolds Khan – a skincare professional with more than 20 years experience at the leading edge of anti-ageing skin therapy.
Together their clients include celebrities and royalty, not to mention their regular media appearances.
Trusted hands for my skin to depend on, but then Harley Street alone is renowned for great medicine.
I am reviewing their Harley Street Skin Care range: Clean Skin Technology, specially formulated to treat and control acne and other skin conditions.
Harley Street Skin Care
As well as knowing about the success behind the brand, it’s important to know that the products are 100% made in the UK and are paraben free.
Ingredients are a mix of the best from science and nature.
Clean Skin Technology
The range is a 4 step system resulting in an exfoliating cleanser, renewal lotion, oil free moisturiser and pore minimising mask.
Each is gentle enough to use on sensitive skin and suitable for all ages and all skin types. In addition, the products are anti-ageing and will improve your complexion.
I absolutely adore the packaging; it’s exactly what I expect from my skincare.
Since working as a makeup artist in the industry and across almost every luxury brand on a freelance basis, I am aware of how the beauty market works.
Many high-end cosmetics inflate prices because of the fancy containers, label and plant extracts – usually found in small quantity but advertised as the key components.
I have always believed in purchasing from either natural or dermatological companies as they put the product itself at the forefront. So with this range, I like the simplicity; I like that it looks like something that I would find at a dermatologists office.
On the sides of the packaging, there is a specific breakdown detailing exactly what the skin treatment does in addition to listing the main ingredients and explaining their properties.
“Developed to target spots, blemishes, open pores and oily skin types, with natural ingredients hand-selected for their healing, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Deep cleansing, non-irritating, leaves the skin soft and hydrated and eliminates the need for a post-cleansing toner”.
Since using this Harley Street Skin Care range – I have become absolutely obsessed with the products. This cleanser does PRECISELY what it says.
I was apprehensive at first with the concept of an exfoliating cleanser. Previous experience has shown it as either too weak and not effective, or too strong and aggressive for daily use.
That mindset has entirely altered nevertheless; I cannot comprehend how amazing this exfoliating cleanser is.
My skin feels so smooth and soft after applying and yet really hydrated –practically never heard of from a cleanser. I could actually forget to put on my moisturiser if it were not for being aware of the 4 step structure.
It does remove makeup but my only complaint is that I need to take off my eye makeup separately.
Price: 30ml = £12.50, 100ml = £30
“A powerful combination of AHA’s, with Glycolic and Salicylic, this is a multi-functional resurfacing lotion with the ability to gently remove the build-up of dead skin cells from the skin’s surface, unblocking pores and exposing fresh new cells”.
Super-light and absorbs well, although it does feel sticky. I like to wait a few minutes before moving on to moisturising.
This Renewal Lotion is producing an amazing impact. Redness has reduced and my skin tone is noticeably more even.
Price: 15ml = £12.50, 50ml = £35
“Light-weight and maintains moisture levels, it adapts to your skin’s needs in different environments, providing moisture when your skin needs it, yet not too much for oily skin types. Rich in vitamins, antioxidants and age-defending kelp extract. It is lightly fragranced with hydrating and antioxidant sweet orange”.
You can really smell the citrus within this lotion. One pump is plenty to cover my face and neck and leave me feeling hydrated.
During the winter, despite being oily I have dry patches between my eyebrows, chin and forehead. These have reduced and my foundation blends much easier.
Price: 15ml = £12.50, 50ml = £30
“Exfoliation is essential for a fresh and clear complexion. This mask will visibly improve dull and lifeless skin. With crushed diamonds, finely ground to remove dead skin. Refines pores instantly and leaves skin smooth, soft and radiant”.
I knew that I would adore this mask the moment that I read “crushed diamonds”. The last time my skin felt this supple was when I was a child pre-acne. My blackheads do seem smaller and for a moment I can imagine my skin type is normal.
Price: 15ml = £12.50, 50ml = £35
The products in this range have a plant-based smell though it’s not overpowering.
The mini options are fantastic for travel as well as testing rather than splurging on full sizes. It’s a clique statement; however you only need a tiny amount – one pump per product.
In terms of sizing, the cleanser is 100ml while the others can be bought at 50ml. Considering how little you need; I would say that the items will last for a couple of months.
I highly recommend this Clean Skin Technology regime from Harley Street Skin Care. It sounds weird but noticing how much my skin is improving is uplifting to my mood. Probably the best skin routine that I have tried. I will be reviewing with a before and after in a month or so, for my final conclusion.
